2009 Teacher Of The Year Award
The 2009 Teacher of the Year Award was presented on Monday, August 31 2009 to Carolyn Connolly at the Teacher In-Service meeting at the High School.
This year's program was incredibly successful as we received over 30 nominations for 22 Pembroke teachers. It was truly great to see how fortunate we are to have such quality teachers for our children. The nominations that were submitted were impressive, outlining the great qualities of our educators. What was equally as impressive was that we received nominations from children of all grades, which shows that all of our schools are filled with the Best of the Best!
Becca Manning from The Pembroke Express newspaper was on hand, so watch for the upcoming article about the Award program and PEF. Also, we will post some photos here shortly to recognize our Teacher of the Year!
Thank you to all of the people that took time out to recognize a teacher, and congratulations to all of the nominees...it truly is an impressive crowd.

Special thanks to Superintendent Hackett and the entire Administration for their continued support of our Foundation and programs, and for allowing us to use their staff meeting as a forum for our announcement.
PEF Volunteers WANTED!! |
|
If you are interested in becoming part of a great team of other Pembroke residents that are focused on helping our school system continue to provide great services and programs, please join us at our next meeting. We meet on the first Wednesday of every month at 9:30 at the Pembroke Public Library.
It takes a lot of work to put together such great events each year. We rely on volunteers that are willing to donate their time and working as a team to complete various aspects of preparation for our two main annual events.
We look forward to seeing you there!!!
